Yoga & Therapy

Starting Saturdays on September 7

Manalapan Location

We have designed a full ZEN experience for children ages 6-12. With dual instructors, Robyn Schindler (Therapist) and special guest Rachel Fox (Registered Yoga Teacher), the group will include two important sections:

First, mindfulness and yoga to learn how to incorporate these skills anywhere, enhance focus and improve self-esteem.

Then, a creative arts therapy component to further hone those skills, combining creativity and movement, and understanding how yoga/creativity/movement can improve our mental health and well-being.

Each group is 60min and the full course is 6 weeks

More about Rachel:

Rachel Fox is a dedicated Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, holding specialized certifications in Foundations of Children’s Yoga and Yoga for Neurodiverse Youth from Radiant Child Yoga.

Rachel’s yoga journey began in 2005 and has significantly enhanced her personal well-being. Her teaching is rooted in the eight limbs of yoga, focusing on reducing anxiety, improving focus, and fostering holistic well-being through individualized movement practices and self-regulation techniques. Prioritizing a feeling of self-worth and personal successes, Rachel  believes that everything we need to feel a greater sense of peace and well-being resides within each of us. She nurtures a strong sense of community within her classes, emphasizing connection to self and others.
Rachel’s classes include components of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or “Tapping”) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She also weaves in aspects of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Focus-Oriented Therapies in her teaching.
Rachel’s background includes extensive experience working with autistic children having worked at Alpine Learning Group, Rutgers’ Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center and privately for eight years.
Rachel’s other areas of interest include studying philosophy, the grieving process and childhood development.

When she’s not studying or practicing yoga Rachel loves spending quality time with her family, playing ping pong, cheering on the Mets, and sharing laughter with her loved ones.
